The Town of Plainfield has been a great partner with the Veridus Group on a number of projects, engaging our Economic Development, Owner’s Representation, and Building Forensics teams. Starting in 2016, Veridus helped the Town with an economic development strategy, and a downtown revitalization plan. This led to a number of projects over the next few years including the Barlow mixed-use development, Made @ Plainfield, the Prewitt Threatre redevelopment and more.
The Veridus Group also served as lead on Made @ Plainfield, collaborative project that brings lifelong learning to adults throughout Central Indiana. This building was designed to address the educational and training needs of local employers by providing a hands-on learning and training experience for students, adults, and employees to grow and learn as they prepare for the future. Opened in the Fall of 2021, Made now houses users like Vincennes University, Ivy Tech, Indiana State University, Work One, Hendricks College Network and others.
The Veridus Group also helped with the redevelopment of Plainfield’s Prewitt Theatre, working on behalf of the Town to build a vision for the reuse of the building. Our team helped with the acquisition RFP process, worked on a building assessment to understand the needs of the building for redevelopment, and then managed the construction process for the Town as well. Opened in 2022, the Prewitt Theatre is now a shining example of how a community can redevelop a derelict property into a cultural amenity.
